I cannot believe it! It is you! Yes Coming to America is returning next March for the sequel cleverly titled Coming 2 America. Yes it’s a sequel, but the 2 is in the middle. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall return as the dynamic duo from Zamunda! His now Queen to be Lisa McDowell will also be returning. James Earl Jones will reprise is role as the King. John Amos will also return as Lisa’s father as well as his other daughter Meeka. Coming 2 America also features a more star studded cast. Wesley Snipes, Michael Blackson, Powwers Rotimi, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones and much more black star power.
This past October 13th Amazon Studios bought the domestic distribution rights to the film for $125 million, and will release it digitally on Prime Video, on March 5, 2021. Excluding countries where Paramount will handle theatrical distribution. Coming 2 America releases and is produced by Kevin Misher and Brian Oliver, and the screenwriters are David Sheffield, Barry W. Blaustein and Kenya Barris.
